ABOUT PARCEL DESK
One small tool.
A clear purpose.
Sometimes you just want to know whether a file can make the trip. Parcel Desk gives you a straightforward place to check.
What this desk is for
Use the upload test to send real file bytes from your device to this server. Use a sample download to try the trip in the other direction. Both operations work without an account.
The service focuses on a transfer's progress and completion. It does not keep a library of your files, expose other visitors' uploads, or turn your file into a public link.
Why uploads are not kept
An upload test only needs to receive the bytes. Once they arrive, retaining a copy would add a different purpose: file storage. Parcel Desk discards the data as it is received and confirms only the completed byte count.
This also means there is no upload history to browse and no partial file to resume. If a transfer is interrupted, you start again.
What the samples contain
The three public downloads are generated binary test data. They have stable sizes and reproducible content, so partial downloads behave consistently. There are no documents to read or programs to run inside them.
Built around a few boundaries
File-size, time, speed, and simultaneous-transfer limits keep the service manageable. The current upload limit appears on the transfers page. These boundaries make Parcel Desk useful for a practical check, rather than a certified speed measurement or a storage service.
